Hand Painted Brush Stroke Stripe Camp Shirt
Tony creates hand painted shirts by cutting the pattern, then laying out the panels and painting each one individually - brushing the paint on stripe by stripe. There is a consideration of the final composition, but he doesn’t fuss about splatter and imperfections that become part of the finished 'painting.' These imperfections keep each piece unique and allow the process to flow organically. He likes to relegate the more disciplined and precision based process to the tailoring and construction of the garment.
The rounded chest pocket and armholes are carefully hand stitched, adding subtle beauty.
Textural linen is Tony’s preferred fabric canvas, as it adds depth and dimension the the paint.
