White Laundered Cotton Dress Shirt Pre-Order

We are so excited to release our signature dress shirt. This is something that we have been working on for years and didn’t want to put out into the world until we had a design that really captures who we are. 

Tony spent the years of his formal training as the shirtmaker for a bespoke tailor in NYC, producing countless custom dress shirts. Ironically, over the past few years TSM has become best known for our heavier weight items, like shirt jackets, chore coats and barn jackets made from sturdy cottons and thick wools. All of our clothing is made in the same way - clean finished with single needle tailoring and hand sewn details. But a dress shirt brings us back to our roots. 

The first preorder of our dress shirt is offered in a beautiful laundered Japanese cotton. It is a breezy, lightweight fabric with a crinkled texture - which makes it so easy to wear (no worrying about wrinkles!). The collar and cuffs are sturdy like a traditional dress shirt, with optional collar stays for even more structure. 

The fit is slightly oversized and relaxed, as we consider comfort as important as polish. 

Some details that make this a signature ‘Tony’ include the substantial collar with a subtle rounded point, a sloping, rounded and hand-finished single Barchetta style pocket, thick half inch hems that you typically see reserved for workwear, and adjustable double button cuffs. And finally we have the dozen button placket, with all 12 of the thick mother of pearl buttons hand-sewn with a crow foot stitch. This is a detail that epitomizes what we do. Hand-finishing is time consuming but distinguishes our pieces from other typical off the rack shirts. 

For care, we recommend a few key things - one being to always wear an undershirt! Your undershirt takes the wear and tear to ensure your dress shirt stays fresh. We recommend hand or machine washing cold and hanging to dry. The crinkled nature of this shirt means that you can simply press the collar, cuffs and hems between wears and washes to keep your dress shirt looking sharp.
