Deadstock Oatmeal Basketweave Linen Chore Coat

This chore coat is made from a hefty dead-stock basketweave in a neutral linen. The textural weave has shades of milk, oat, tan and taupe. Linen is a summer favorite because it is naturally temperature regulating, moisture wicking and quick drying - perfect for sweat, sun and mist.

Design features include a French workwear inspired collar, double button cuffs and a locker loop. The four outer pockets are 'Barchetta' style, which means that the top hems gently slope like the bow of a little boat. The pockets are sewn on floating - the inlaid topstitch gives them a three dimensional look. There is an inner right chest pocket for stashing valuables, with a visible stitch reminiscent of classic French coats. The sleeves are cut wide to accommodate layering, with an adjustable double button cuff (tighter for a more shirt-like fit, looser for a more jacket-like fit). The back features a locker loop for hanging by the door. Finished with matte genuine horn buttons, each hand-sewn with a crow foot stitch.
